Now famous  for its astonishing Egyptology Gallery, featuring a 3,000 year old Egyptian mummy,  as well as rock columns from the ancient city of Heracleopolis. The Bolton Gallery has a magnificent collection of 18th, 19th as well as 20th century watercolours as well as other art works, this local attraction in Bolton is high on every visitors list and constantly gets amazing reviews . The Bolton aquarium  is a wonderful place to visit for children and adults of all ages, it is home  to a vast array of exotic fish and there are many protected species of fish that are on display with appropriate habitats.


An enormously popular venue for a day out is Bolton Animal World,  children and adults can see a wide range of pets and also birds, from farmyard animals  to wild and  tropical species this is a great day out. All sorts of insects, spiders, reptiles and also exotic plant are on display at the  Moss Bank  Park  and throughout  the summer season  a small steam train runs at the weekend.
