Altrincham Football Club
Altrincham Football Club have a long history, the club first formed in 1891 and they have been at the centre of football in South Manchester for more than 130 years.
The Altrincham FC team are currently competing in the National League, North Division.
In 2015 Altrincham FC opened a wonderful facility for the Altrincham community — the Community Sports Hall. This generous addition to Altrincham’s sports facilities was made possible by various grants and a great deal of fundraising by the club. The sports hall provides a hub for the team’s extensive community work and has allowed the AITC ( Altrincham in the Community ), having a sports hall allows the club to provide a multi-use venue for sports, social function and community based functions and to extend the range of football and sports coaching activities of the club.
Altrincham Leisure Centre
The Altrincham leisure centre has introduced a new timetable for members and now offers 47 different group exercise classes a week and has increased the number of classes in the evening and early mornings. This new timetable is in response to feedback from customers. The new offerings include 3 different specialist yoga classes and indoor cycle classes.
The leisure centre has been refurbished and now has a Move Zone with new AC installed for customers’ comfort and a brand new cycle studio . Even more exciting is the incorporation of fitness and wellbeing technology “Myzone”. This technology tracks heart rates and uses wireless cloud technology to track physical activity levels for individuals

Bowdon Squash Club
Bowdon Squash club is located within easy reach of Manchester and offers squash , cricket and hockey for all standards and ages. There are 4 squash courts and members can book online every day of the week. There are 6 squash teams from Bowdon club playing in the North West Counties Squash Leagues and 3 ladies teams in the Cheshire Ladies Leagues.
Bowdon club has its own internal leagues for both squash and racketball and all members are welcome to join. An annual tournament is held in the Spring .
Altrincham Velo is a cycling club for non-competitive cycling They organize cycling outings for all cycling abilities and where members offer advice and support for everything to do with cycling, including bike handling skills and bike maintenance.
Many members of Altrincham Velo are involved in other types of cycling apart from road riding, such as track, mountain biking and triathalon or cyclo-cross and are willing to introduce others to these type of cycling.
